Sending Keystrokes to other Programs

One of the functions of the original HomeVision software that is missing from HomeVisionXL is the ability to activate application windows and send keystrokes to them. The Send Keys plug-in fills that gap, at least on MS windows.

Differences between the Send Keys plug-in and the HomeVision software:

  • The plug-in does not support the BREAK, CAPSLOCK, NUMLOCK, and SCROLLLOCK keys.
  • The plug-in does not support the F13 through F16 keys.
  • The plug-in does allow you to send double-quotes using the QUOTE keycode.
  • The plug-in allows wildcards in window names.
